LIVERPOOL have offered £68m up front, rising to £85m with add-ons for Darwin Nunez’ according to reports.

The Benfica striker is said to be keen to join the Reds over Man Utd, but Jurgen Klopp and FSG reportedly have no interest in a bidding war.

Meanwhile Inter Milan have stepped up their pursuit on Paulo Dybala having made an official bid with an opening proposal for a four year contract.

The Argentine ace had reported interest from Premier League clubs, but it seems as if he will instead be making the short trip from Turin to Milan.

And Gareth Bale’s agent has poured scorn on claims from the Getafe president that the Real Madrid star was offered to the club.

He said: “I don’t even have the president of Getafe’s number…”

  • Fulham close on Strakosha

    EXCLUSIVE – FULHAM are closing in on the signing of Lazio goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha on a free transfer, writes Daniel Cutts.

    The 27-year-old has been in talks with the West Londoners for a number of weeks over a move to the Premier League.

    The Albanian stopper is out of contract at the Serie A side, and wants to test himself in England.

    SunSport understands his deal with the Cottagers could be up to four years and worth around £1million a year.

    He is also expected to receive a hefty signing-on bonus along with other additions on top of that.

    The move has not yet been sealed, but both the club and player are confident the deal will go through.

  • Torres tussle

    Man Utd and Tottenham are battling it out to sign Villarreal defender Pau Torres, according to reports in Spain.

    Torres, 25, has impressed in LaLiga and the Champions League, helping Villarreal to the semi-final.

    Villarreal are seeking £43million for the Spaniard and United are favourites to sign him, according to La Razon.

    However, Tottenham could throw in Giovani Lo Celso as part of the deal, the Argentine spent the second half of last season on loan at the Unai Emery’s side.

  • Bazunu to Saints

    Irish goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu is close to making the switch to Southampton from Manchester City as Southampton close in on £10m deal.

    The 20-year-old spent last season on loan at Portsmouth, where he won Pompey’s Player of the Year award.

    Fraser Forster departed for Spurs yesterday meaning that Southampton are in need for a goalkeeper to challenge Alex McCarthy for the No.1 jersey.

  • Nunez news

    Liverpool have agreed personal terms with Benfica star Darwin Nunez… but Manchester United want to hijack their deal.

    The Reds are understood to have offered around £86million for the forward.

    Jurgen Klopp is keen to get the deal done as he searches for a Sadio Mane replacement as he is Bayern Munich bound.

    But according to Portuguese reporter Pedro Sepulveda, United aren’t ready to give up on signing the Uruguayan.

    He told Sky Sports earlier today that Red Devils chiefs are set to meet with Nunez’s agent Jorge Mendes.

    He claims that United will try and find a way to complete a deal for the Benfica star under Liverpool’s noses.

    The report adds, however, that the player himself has his heart set on Liverpool and is already thinking about playing at Anfield.

  • Rice-less kit launch for West Ham

    West Ham captain Declan Rice was missing from the club’s launch of their home kit.

    Other stars like Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio were pictured in the new kit but Rice was not sending fans into meltdown.

    One Hammer on Twitter wrote: “Yo @_DeclanRice where you at? I’m stressed you’re not there dancing.”

    Perhaps a move to Chelsea is on the cards, Chelsea have a budget of £200million although West Ham want £150million.

    David Moyes wants to bring in Armando Broja so that could reduce the fee.

  • Cech provides Lukaku update

    Former Chelsea goalkeeper and now technical and performance advisor Petr Cech has spoken to Sky Sports about Romelu Lukaku, hinting that he could stay at the club amid Inter Milan rumours.

    Cech said: “I personally believe he will have a great season. Last season we seen how strong he can be at the beginning when he came.

    “But unfortunately, the long term injury he sustained in the game against [Aston] Villa slowed everything down and then he had Covid as well.

    “I think we could see towards the end of the season, when he was fit and ready to go again, how strong he is. I have full confidence he will bounce back and have a strong season.”

  • Newcastle closing in on Botman

    Sven Botman is close to joining Newcastle United as they edge closer to a breakthrough in their bid to sign him.

    The Telegraph are claiming that a deal is appraoching completion for £30million.

    However there remains the threat that AC Milan could hijack the bid.

    It would be Newcastle’s second summer signing after making Matt Targett’s loan move from Aston Villa permanent for £15million.

  • Zinchenko to London?

    Arsenal and West Ham are both keeping tabs on Ukraine international Oleksandr Zinchenko.

    Beniot Badiashile is on the radar of Manchester United, Chelsea and Newcastle.

    The centre-back is France’s Under-21 captain and featured 34 times for Monaco last season.

  • Chelsea’s transfer budget

    New owner Todd Boehly is set to hand Thomas Tuchel a £200million transfer budget for the summer, the Metro are reporting.

    The American is trying to get the new era off to a good start and allegedly wants Tuchel to replicate the success of Pep Guardiola at Man City and Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

    They also suggest Tuchel could be given full control of Chelsea’s transfer strategy.

    This comes as reports emerge stating the future of the club’s director Marina Granovskaia is in doubt.

  • Sangare reveals Premier League dream

    PSV midfielder Ibrahim Sangare is someone being targetted as part of Erik ten Hag’s summer re-build at Man Utd.

    Sky Sports have reported that it could take a £30million bid to get PSV to sell with Chelsea and Newcastle also keen.

    Back in May, Sangare spoke to the Dutch press about a transfer.

    Most notably, cult hero Divock Origi will depart as will Loris Karius famous for his Champions League final blunder in 2018.

    Sheyi Ojo, Ben Woodburn, Elijah Dixon-Bonner, Luis Longstaff and Sean Wilson are also leaving.

    Arsenal are reportedly keen on Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo.

    But according to The Express, a transfer will not be simple because Juve want two Arsenal players in a swap deal.

    The Italian giants have taken a liking to Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Magalhaes and they are insistent on at least one heading to Turin if they give Arthur to the Gunners.

  • Saka in no rush to sign new contract

    Bukayo Saka was awarded Arsenal’s player of the season award yesterday for the second successive season but his future could be in doubt.

    Reports via 90min claim that the England star is in no rush to sign a new long-term deal at the Gunners.

    The offer is €80m with add ons totally the deal at €100m. Nunez would be handed a five year deal.

    Benfica will decide whether to accept or not soon.

    He also reports that Man United are in contact with his agent.

    Alexandre Lacazette has completed his return to Lyon after being released by Arsenal as a free agent.

    Lacazette’s three-year deal has been confirmed at a press conference this morning.

  • Richarlison plans Everton exit

    In a SunSport exclusive, Richarlison wants to leave Everton.

    The Brazilian attacker would command a fee of around £65million.

    Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid are all in his sights.

    Everton could need to offload him as they are cutting costs after narrowly escaping a charge of breaking Premier League financial fair play rules it is unlikely the club will stand in his way for the right price.

    Majority owner Farhad Moshiri has overseen losses of £372m over the past three years and has now ordered that the club’s wage bill is slashed over the next two years by up to 70 per cent.

  • Johnson on Salah speculation

    There has been speculation that Mohamed Salah could leave Liverpool.

    On this, former Liverpool man Glen Johnson told Bettingodds.com: ““If he went somewhere like Manchester City, then he could possibly ruin his legacy at Liverpool.

    “I don’t think he would move to another Premier League, if I’m honest.

    “We know how much he loves Liverpool, so I don’t know if he could go through with a move like that. This may be a scare tactic from his team but I’m not too sure.

    “If he did move to a rival like City though, then yes, he definitely runs the risk of ruining his legacy at Liverpool.”

    Former Chelsea, West Ham and England full-back Glen Johnson has suggested that the Hammers sell Declan Rice this summer if he does not sign a new contract.

    Johnson when asked if West Ham should sell told Bettingodds.com: “Yes absolutely. It’s not good business to let players walk out for free or run their contract down.

    “It doesn’t make any sense. West Ham have to be ruthless with him and say “here’s the contract, either sign it and if you don’t want to sign it then you’ve got to go’.

    “You can’t let your best players leave on either a discount or a free. If West Ham don’t believe he’s going to commit himself long-term then they’ve got to get rid of him.”
