Declan Rice hits back at Man City in Arsenal Premier League title message

Declan Rice was finally able to declare it was ‘done’ following Arsenal‘s coronation as Premier League champions.

The England midfielder infamously insisted that the title race remained alive after the Gunners’ devastating loss to Manchester City earlier this campaign. However, posting on Instagram mere moments after Arsenal secured the championship, he uploaded a photograph of himself with his team-mates, accompanied by the caption: “I told you all.. it’s done,” alongside red heart and trophy emojis.

His post refers to the moments following the defeat against Man City, where the midfielder was spotted telling captain Martin Odegaard ‘it’s not done’, after City seemingly took charge of the title race.

Arsenal were confirmed as Premier League champions on Tuesday night, thanks to Man City’s 1-1 draw with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium. Erling Haaland made the final moments nervy for onwatching Arsenal fans with his late equaliser, but the goal came too late for City.

The Gunners will get their hands on the Premier League trophy on Sunday afternoon following their final game of the season. Mikel Arteta‘s side take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

Following Arsenal’s 1-0 win over Burnley on Monday night, Arteta admitted that he’d be supporting Bournemouth against City. “I don’t know how long I’m going to watch it,” he said.

“I will be there in front of the TV, but I don’t know how much I’ll be able to watch, I think. That’s the reality.

I’m planning to watch it with my family, and again, I don’t know for how long.”

When asked if he’d be a Bournemouth fan, he said: “The biggest ever. For Andoni [Iraola] and all the players, and all the people who are supporters of Bournemouth, I think we all are. We know that means tomorrow they get our support.”
