Max Verstappen cements stance on Christian Horner spat as fiery exchange spotted

Max Verstappen has decided to stay out of any potential feud between his father Jos and Red Bull team principal Christian Horner after a recent scathing attack on Verstappen’s boss.

Jos called for Horner to be sacked despite a team investigation clearing him of any wrongdoing in allegations of inappropriate behaviour.

BBC Sport claim that the Red Bull driver had seen his father’s comments but did not say anything, keeping quiet and staying out of the escalating drama.

The 26-year-old driver failed to offer his unwavering support to Horner last weekend. “From my side, and I think what I can see also from the mechanics and the engineers, we are fully focused on the car and the performance here during the weekend,” he said.

“And that’s how it should be, I think, and that’s what we continue to do, because it’s not our business. We’re not particularly involved in that.”
