KHAMZAT CHIMAEV has vowed to ‘kill everybody’ in the welterweight division following Nate Diaz’s recent snub.
The UFC brass are eager to put together a showdown between the two-fan favourites, although Diaz has publicly shut down the idea.
Diaz’s snub quickly came to the attention of the Russian phenom, who questioned his famed anyone, anywhere, any time’ mentality.
He tweeted: “You fake gangster @NateDiaz209 and I don’t care who to fight i’m coming for everybody, where are you all the gangsters and kings?
“I’m here to kill everyone, I’m the king here, I’m a gangster here.”
The undefeated Chimaev then accused Diaz’s older brother, Nick, of running away from him.
He tweeted: “Say hello to your older brother, tell him not to be afraid of me,
“I don’t beat old people, he knows what I mean. In Vegas, I just wanted to say hell. Well, poor man ran away.”
Chimaev’s chilling tweet came hours after Stockton slugger Diaz accused the UFC of disrespecting him by trying to set up a fight with the ‘rookie’.
He told TMZ: “They’re coming at me with [Chimaev] and I’m like, ‘Hold on, don’t disrespect me like that, trying to offer me a fight with a rookie.’
“I’m cool. You got four fights in the UFC. Don’t even talk my name.
“There’s levels to this and I don’t even want to hear his name.”
The UFC brass want Chimaev back in the cage as soon as possible and are hoping to finalise his fifth octagon outing next week.
President Dana White recently told Jim Rome:”We’re working on something for him.
“Hopefully this week, we’ll have an opponent for him. Nobody wants to fight this guy.
“Everybody wants to get out on social media and say this or say that.
“But when it really comes down to it, nobody’s trying to fight Khamzat Chimaev.
“I don’t blame them.
“But at the end of the day when you’re a professional fighter – this is what you do – you should look at a guy with as much hype and as much bravado as Chimaev has, as a huge opportunity.”
