Fair play to him, Jack Osbourne really took it on the chin when he was told that his letter from home had been minced in a blender full of goo.

During last night’s episode, the reality star became the only campmate without a letter, thanks to three of his fellow cast members’ incorrect answer to a trivia question.

One of the bigger stories in week one of this series was the rumoured feud between Ant and Dec and contestant Kelly Brook, which apparently sourced from their (brief) time together on Britain’s Got Talent.

While neither party has confirmed that an actual feud existed, there was a funny moment last week in which Ant “scolded” Dec over the apparent tension…

And how did Ruby become the new leader less than 24 hours after Shona McGarty was voted leader? Well, it’s all down to the (dun dun dun) contraband scandal!

Shona announced that she’d been spotted using mysteriously sourced butter in cooking that she said she found stuffed at the bottom of a food trunk. Her punishment was that she’d step down as leader.

The bigger mystery? Was it really Alex Scott who smuggled in the butter? Or has the freshly eliminated Alex just become an easy person to blame?

Yes, Ruby Wax can be abrasive, and her humour falls just on the right side of dry, but many in the jungle seem not to have received the memo: based on last night’s episode, Ruby is public enemy number one in the jungle.

Since Ruby became camp leader, Kelly has declared her “power-mad”, Jack dubbed her “pure insanity”, and both Aitch and AngryGinge have plotted a mutiny against her.

Doesn’t it seem a bit much?

There hasn’t been a full-on Katie/Peter romance on this year’s I’m a Celeb (as of writing, anyway), but there have definitely been gestures made between Aitch and Shona McGarty.

Notice their flirty pillow fights the other day?

One of the most interesting surprises so far from this year’s contestants is Jack’s way with a slightly wacky anecdote. First there was his reveal that late dad Ozzy despised Christmas, and now he’s revealed that he descends from a music manager who used to pull guns on people and dangle artists out of windows until they signed contracts with him. Yikes.

While we’re still buzzing from tonight’s elimination, one of the bigger I’m a Celeb mysteries over the weekend involved Alex Scott’s slightly abrupt departure from Australia following Friday night’s results show.

Scott quickly cleared up why she’d hopped on the nearest flight, however, and it all had to do with her pop star girlfriend Jess Glynne.

So earlier in tonight’s episode, pre-Eddie’s departure, campmates received letters from home. There were, to little surprise, an abundance of tears as everyone bonded after a day of strife.
