Anne Hathaway has announced yet another film project, prompting her fans to wonder the same thing.
Hathaway, 43, has had a busy year starring in Mother Mary, The Devil Wears Prada 2, The Odyssey, and The End of Oak Street. She’s also starring in Verity, the latest film adaptation from author Colleen Hoover, which is slated for an October release.
Now, Hathaway has added another project to her slate: a Days of Thunder follow-up film alongside Tom Cruise.
Nearly 40 years after the original film was released, Hathaway and Cruise will film a sequel, which will be released in June 2028. The duo shared the news Saturday in a joint Instagram announcement that has prompted Hathaway’s fans to ask the same question.
“DOES ANNE EVER SLEEP,” one person commented as another wrote, “Does Anne ever sleep, or what?”
Dozens of others chimed in asking the same thing. “Anne is the enemy of unemployment, first lady of work,” someone else wrote while a fourth said, “wake up babe a new annie movie announcement just dropped.”
“Another Anne Hathaway movie? YES PLEASE,” a fan wrote as someone else said, “Anne is an acting superhero!!”
Hathaway is pregnant with her third child with husband Adam Shulman. Hathaway has been married to Shulman since 2012. They welcomed their first son in 2016 and their second in 2019.
In the video teaser for Days of Thunder, Hathaway confirmed she will give birth before filming commences.
“Her baby is already so well-traveled … She’s everywhere,” another person commented.
According to Variety, Cruise will reprise his role from the first film as Cole Trickle. Hathaway will play a racecar team owner and engineer. Jonathan Levine will direct, and Cruise will produce alongside Jerry Bruckheimer and Tommy Harper.
In addition to Cruise, the original Days of Thunder starred Nicole Kidman, Robert Duvall, Randy Quaid and John C. Reilly. It is not yet clear whether any of the original cast will return for the follow up. Duvall died earlier this year.

In addition to Days of Thunder, Hathaway is also working on a third installment of The Princess Diaries in which she will reprise her role as Mia Thermopolis.
Beyond those two projects, Hathaway’s IMDB profile reports that she is involved with an “Untitled FBI Wedding Sting Comedy” directed by Jason Bateman, a TV series titled Fear Not, and the film Alone at Dawn co-starring Adam Driver and Betty Gilpin.
