Anthony Joshua makes his return to boxing this evening in a huge heavyweigt fight against Kristian Prenga dubbed “The Comeback”. The two-time world champion was last in the ring on December 19, 2025 when he beat Jake Paul and he has not fought since being involved in a car crash in Nigeria the following week.
The Brit suffered minor injuries in the accident, which tragically claimed the lives of his two close friends Sina Ghami and Latif “Latz” Ayodele. There was talk of Joshua retiring from the sport in the aftermath but he is back and will face Alabinian Prenga in Saudi Arabia tonight.
Ring walks are expected at 11pm BST with a stacked undercard set to take place before then. Former world champion Oleksandr Usyk is also in the house after helping Joshua train for his return.
Just yesterday, bitter rival of the pair Tyson Fury beat Mariusz Wach with a win for Joshua likely to move us closer towards a blockbuster fight between the two.
