Max Verstappen will take on the Nurburgring 24 Hours this weekend in a Red Bull-branded Mercedes-AMG GT3 car.
The Dutchman is continuing his racing exploits outside of Formula 1 and has made six outings at the Nordschleife in the last 12 months to prepare for the iconic endurance race.
The action gets underway at 2pm this afternoon and is one of the biggest endurance races in the world.
This year, 161 cars have entered to tackle the 15.769-mile circuit which the three-time F1 world champion once called “The Green Hell”.

And Verstappen will not drive the entire 24 hours on his own, as he will share duties with team-mates Lucas Auer, Jules Gounon and Dani Juncadella.
