Christian Horner shut down rumours about his Red Bull future on Friday when put on the spot by Martin Brundle. The 51-year-old dismissed the recent links to Ferrari and Alpine, suggesting that he has ‘no intention’ of being anywhere but Milton Keynes, despite his team’s recent difficulties. In 2024, Horner’s future was one of the dominant debates during the first half of the campaign due to an internal investigation over alleged inappropriate behaviour, in which he was ultimately cleared of any wrongdoing.
Now, the Red Bull team principal is reportedly being headhunted by some of the team’s rivals. With Fred Vasseur reportedly under pressure at Ferrari, rumours placed Horner at the forefront of conversations to replace the Frenchman, while Sky Germany pundit Ralf Schumacher suggested that the British team boss would be an ideal candidate to succeed Oliver Oakes at Alpine.
