The Lions Club of Plymouth carried out a collection organised by Lion Jim Shipton at various well known super markets throughout Plymouth over the two weeks prior to Christmas 2021 with the main aim to collect sufficient funds to help pay for a Panda Warmer (Hot Cot), for the High Dependency Unit of the Children’s Ward at Derriford Hospital.
The Panda Warmer is an innovative piece of equipment to include a number of technological devices to ensure the wellbeing of the newly born child.
A warm welcome for the newborn. The all-in-one, integrated solution needed to help babies go home healthy. All the tools are in one place, making it easier to have the clinical confidence to give babies the seamless care they need.
The Hourglass Heat Profile bathes the baby in soothing warmth, with uniform coverage across the mattress.
A built-in scale makes taking baby’s weight easy. There is no need to move baby to another piece of equipment.
A brilliant, full-colour display shows patient information in an easy-to-read format while displaying patient parameters, like temperature, weight, Sp02, and ECG.
The Panda iRes Warmer features integrated SpO2 and resuscitation. The SpO2 allows the clinician to monitor the patient’s blood oxygen level, while the optional resuscitation allows for administering forced breathing if required. Hands free alarm silence. ,
In total, providing the providers, parents, and the little patient, piece of mind and above all, comfort.
The Lions Club of Plymouth President Jeff Horgan and all the club members wish to thank the participating stores and in particular all the shoppers who donated funds to this very worthwhile charitable cause.
