EMILE SMITH ROWE has doubled Arsenal’s lead after Gabriel nodded the visitors into the lead against Leicester.
The Brazilian headed in from a corner to giver the Gunners the upper hand, handing Mikel Arteta the perfect start.
In-form Gunners have recovered from losing their first three games and now find themselves in the top half of the table.
Alexandre Lacazette and Peirre-Emerick Aubameyang are among the starters for the North London club as Kieran Tierney misses out.

LEICESTER 0-2 ARSENAL
53, And Barnes with a half-chance, but he scuffs his volley wide.
Good spring forward on the break and Vardy found Barnes with the cutback to the edge of the area, but his shot was wide.
-
LEICESTER 0-2 ARSENAL
50, Barnes already looking more lively than any Leicester player did in the first half.
He’s going up against Tomiyasu down the left hand side and swung in a dangerous cross just now that nobody was on hand to attack.
-
LEICESTER 0-2 ARSENAL
47, It’s Arsenal who have started faster again and Smith Rowe is almost in behind.
Leicester are going to leave a few more gaps at the back as they press on and the likes of Saka and Aubameyang could see more joy.
-
PEEEEEEEEEEEEPPPPPP
And we’re back underway with the second half.
-
CHANGES
Two of them for Leicester at the break as Rodgers looks to get back into this game.
Barnes and Lookman are on, Amartey and Iheanacho off.
-
YOUNG STARS
It’s been said a couple of hundred times before, but how vital are Saka and Smith Rowe to Arsenal?
Here’s how vital…
-
WHAT A SAVE
Here it is again in all it’s glory from Aaron Ramsdale.
-
HT: LEICESTER 0-2 ARSENAL
What a half for Arsenal. They have been absolutely brilliant and thoroughly deserve this 2-0 lead.
Leicester haven’t got going at all and Rodgers needs to rally his troops int he next 15 minutes.
-
LEICESTER 0-2 ARSENAL
45, Two minutes of added time.
-
LEICESTER 0-2 ARSENAL
44, For all Arsenal’s dominance in this half, Ramsdale has made two saves right out of the top drawer.
-
LEICESTER 0-2 ARSENAL
42, Oh MY! That save from Ramsdale is even better than the one he made earlier.
Maddison’s free-kick from 20 yards was inch perfect and Ramsdale somehow got flung himself across to his left and got a big paw on it to divert it onto the crossbar.
And he got up to save the rebound from point-blank range too.
Unbelievable.
-
LEICESTER 0-2 ARSENAL
38, It’s eerily quiet inside the King Power and all the noise is coming from the away end at the moment.
Arsenal look more than comfortable. Leicester look like they need to regroup and rethink this.
-
LEICESTER 0-2 ARSENAL
36, It’s been excellent from Arsenal on both sides of the ball so far.
Their defensive shape of 4-4-2 with Lacazette and Aubameyang chasing down in front of two banks of four is really proving a tough nut to crack.
-
LEICESTER 0-2 ARSENAL
33, Better from Leicester as their press nearly forces a mistake in the Arsenal defence.
Credit to Ramsdale, though, for coming out the clear up the danger and not panicking on the ball before clearing his lines.
-
LEICESTER 0-2 ARSENAL
30, There looks to be a lot more space in Leicester’s defensive shape for Arsenal to exploit than the other way round.
Tomiyasu just swung in a good low cross from the byline that only needed a near-post run and it would’ve been another chance.
-
LEICESTER 0-2 ARSENAL
28, WHAT A SAVE!!
Iheanacho curled one towards the far corner from 25 yards and was wheeling away to celebrate.
But a full stretch Ramsdale, and I mean full stretch, just got a finger on it to tip it round the post.
Incredible save.
-
LEICESTER 0-2 ARSENAL
26, First decent move from Leicester and Tielemans tries to flick it into the path of Vardy.
Unfortunately for the Foxes, the pass had too much on it and it went straight through to Ramsdale.
Much better from the home side, passing and penetration wise.
-
LEICESTER 0-2 ARSENAL
23, About the first thing that’s gone wrong for Arsenal so far…
Gabriel drops to the ground and needs some treatment, but he’s up again and looks to be ok.
-
LEICESTER 0-2 ARSENAL
21, The warning signs were there for Leicester in the very first minute when Saka got free way too easy.
And Arsenal have had their way ever since.
Really poor opening from Leicester. Rodgers talked about the momentum his team have gained of late but they look asleep right now.
-
LEICESTER 0-2 ARSENAL
19, That’s way too easy for Arsenal and really poor defensively from Leicester.
Saka was afforded an acre of space to run on the right and his low cross wasn’t dealt with.
In the end it ricocheted to Smith Rowe on the edge of the area, and his first time, side foot finish found the bottom corner.
Schmeichel was rooted to the spot. Arsenal have been excellent.
-
GOOOOOAALLLLLL!!
It’s Emile Smith Rowe! It’s 2-0 to Arsenal.
-
LEICESTER 0-1 ARSENAL
16, Nuno Tavares with a marauding run, the type that only left backs seem to be capable of.
He played it to Lacazette on the right flank but the low cross towards Aubameyang was cut out.
Another decent opening, that. Arsenal looking dangerous.
-
LEICESTER 0-1 ARSENAL
15, A few groans from the crowd as Leicester give it away and their attack breaks down.
Arsenal look very well set in a defensive shape. Lokonga’s presence alongside Partey in midfield has given them a real solidity in there.
-
LEICESTER 0-1 ARSENAL
12, Maddison with Leicester’s first real opening from a free-kick very central and 20 yards out.
But he can’t get it over the wall and his flick back into the box on the rebound leads to nothing.
-
LEICESTER 0-1 ARSENAL
10, It’s been all Arsenal so far and early problems for Brendan Rodgers.
His side are still trying to play out from the back as is his style but it’s getting them in trouble.
Partey just had a shot from 20 yards which Schmeichel got down to save.
