A good time was had by all at the Crabshell last Thursday Evening, when three wines were showcased by Owner Lance Whitehead of Calancombe Vineyard Modbury, interspersed with presentations from both Tim Jones, Start Point Finance Kingsbridge, and Jonathan Jex, Jex Capital Allowances London.
Local Business people and Professionals were wowed by the wines recently enjoyed by Members of Parliament at Westminster. The wines enjoyed were “Vintage Reserve” and “Pinot Noir Rose”, crowned by a delicious sparkling “Blanc de Noirs”, all proudly presented by Olive Shaw, Winemaker.
Tim gave an overview of the current commercial finance market place, highlighting alternative funding sources, including the Government backed Recovery Loan Scheme.
Jonathan pointed out the real need for a Specialist in properly identifying tax reliefs for Commercial Property owners, savings that are in fact regularly missed. He added that “Ignorance really isn’t bliss”.
Jonathan, who has Lectured to the Chartered Institute of Taxation at Exeter Chiefs, was very enthused by the reaction and indeed the response from the local audience!
