with £1,500 from the Chairman’s 2020 Fund award
Margaret Green Animal Rescue has been selected by Care South as one of its beneficiaries of the Chairman’s 2020 Fund. Margaret Green Animal Rescue take in pets that become homeless due to a change in circumstances or that have been neglected, mistreated or abandoned. They were presented with £1,500 by Care South’s Chairman, Jane Stichbury, and Chief Executive, Simon Bird.
The Chairman’s 2020 Fund was set up last year with the aim of supporting ‘Care South’s Friends’ and has been established with the aim of benefiting Care South employees, volunteers and community groups who provide a community service to the groups care homes, care at home offices, clients or residents.
Simon Bird, Care South’s Chief Executive, commented: “We are delighted to be able to support this incredible charity which is important to the Care South’s staff and residents. Our residents frequently visit the centre here and enjoy interactions with all the animals. It’s a really popular days outing and a firm favourite.”
Margaret Green Animal Rescue’s Fundraising and Marketing Manager, Jazmin House, commented: “We are thrilled with this generous donation which will really help go towards helping all the lovely animals in our care. We pride ourselves on the standard of care each rescue pet receives and finding forever homes is at the very heart of what we do. There is no better feeling than knowing we have found the perfect match. I want to extend my thanks to Simon and Jane from all of us at Margaret Green Animal Rescue for making this happen and for showing their support.”
