Three young professionals from Mid Devon (Bovey Tracey, Liverton and Totnes) completed a marathon 26 mile trek across London in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society on Saturday 5th June. Taking in all the capital’s iconic sights including Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and Smithfield market along the way, the Westcountry trio (L to R Tommy Wensley, Naomi Senior, Izzy Trott) completed the epic walking challenge in 8 hours and 6 minutes.
Said Izzy “the atmosphere was wonderful, and we had a great sense of accomplishment at the end, knowing we have helped such a great cause that affects so many people – well worth the aches, pains and blisters!”
Together, the three raised over £1300 for the charity.
