Olympics LIVE: Tom Daley picks up Team GB medal as crazy 40-year record goes on

Tom Daley and diving partner Noah Williams will enter the pool for the first time today, as they continue Team GB’s search for their first gold of the Games.

The diving duo will be looking to add to Team GB’s solid medal haul from over the weekend, with swimming ace Adam Peaty the latest to reach the podium.

Peaty came agonisingly close to winning gold in Sunday night’s 100m breaststroke final, but the three-time Olympic champion had to settle for silver instead.

Despite the heartache, an emotional Peaty dubbed himself a ‘winner’ following the race, pointing to the sacrifices he’s had to make to return to the Olympics for a third time.

Elsewhere on Day Two in Paris, Kimberley Woods clinched bronze in the women’s kayak single (K1), after reigning Olympic champion Ricarda Funk was handed a 50-second time penalty for a mistake on the 20th gate.

Peaty and Woods’ medals took Team GB’s tally to four, with divers Yasmin Harper and Scarlett Mew Jensen and cyclist Anna Henderson having made the podium during Saturday’s action in the French capital.
