Kyrgios, who lost to Djokovic in the 2022 final, has been helping the Serb practice this week.
And he marvelled at the world No. 2 on commentary for the BBC during the sixth game when Djokovic broke. “Incredible! Incredible volleys peppering the baseline. How many times did Novak hit that rally? He’s not human,” he said.
Andrew Castle replied: “So that’s how he won 24 Grand Slams!”
Kyrgios laughed as he added: “Musetti, any other player, he would’ve won that point three times.”
John McEnroe also piped in. “He’s been in the final of half the Grand Slams he’s played in. It’s something absurd,” he said.
Castle then brought up the supposed booing from his last match. “No wonder when they boo at him, he gets a bit cross,” he said.
