Ronnie O’Sullivan takes on Judd Trump in the World Masters of Snooker semi-final in Riyadh. The pair are playing to face Luca Brecel, who beat Mark Allen in the other semi-final earlier today.
The lucrative Saudi tournament is looking to create history by incorporating a golden ball on the table that is worth 20 points. However, it can only be potted after a maximum 147 break. As soon as a 147 is taken off the table, so is the golden ball.
O’Sullivan thrashed John Higgins 4-0 on Tuesday night, with their tie finishing at 3am local time.
O’Sullivan is gaining confidence in the Middle East after previously saying he played rubbish this year, despite winning four tournaments.
“It was alright, I felt quite comfortable over the shot, first time in a while. I’ve been feeling okay in practice the last couple of weeks,” O’Sullivan said.
“Two years of absolute filth, I’m just starting to feel alright again, it’s been a long time.”
