Nearly three weeks on from the opening day, the World Darts Championship will conclude this evening with Luke Littler‘s blockbuster final against Luke Humphries. It’s the 16-year-old prodigy who has captured the heart of the nation against the newly-crowned world No. 1, and it promises to be a cracker at Alexandra Palace.
Despite coming in as the World Youth Champion, Littler was barely on the radar for casual darts fans this time last month. But the 2007-born extraordinaire has dominated a series of established big-hitters, and Humphries is up next.
‘Cool Hand’ will pose the teenager’s toughest test so far, having put in a staggering performance to defeat Scott Williams in the semi-finals. The Ally Pally’s final showdown therefore has the makings of an all-time classic.
