A slower short ball outside off stump and Nortje looked to fetch it from there and hit it over the leg side. He gets a top edge and lobs an easy catch to Garg at short square leg.

Another good hit by Deshpande there. He thumps a length ball from Natarajan over long-on for four. Too little, too late for DC, though.

WICKET! R Ashwin c Samad b Holder 7 (5)

Ashwin tries to take a leaf out of Deshpande’s book and goes big on the on side. However, he fails to clear the man at the wide long-on boundary. Samad runs across the field from deep mid-wicket and takes a good catch.

Deshpande hits this one all the way. What a shot.

A slower short ball there by Holder and Deshpande flat-bats it over long-off for a six. He is showing that he is more capable than his No. 10 position in the batting line-up indicates.

Tushar Deshpande shows he can bat, too. Holder pitches it up and Deshpande smashes it right back past the bowler for four.

This has been a comprehensive performance by SRH. They need two more wickets to win.

Short ball by Sandeep and Ashwin pulls that through square leg for four.

Pant falls. SRH close in on a crucial win.

This ball from Sandeep was pitched wide of off and Pant tried to guide it down to third man. He gets a faint edge behind to the ‘keeper as revealed on Ultra Edge. Warner reviewed the on-field not out decision and was proven right.

Natarajan nails his yorker and that’s too good for Rabada.

This was full on off stump and Rabada went for a wild swing but missed the ball completely.

DC are 103/7 in 16 overs.

100 up for DC

However, it’s come at least five overs late for DC. They have had no momentum in their chase at all.

Natarajan bowls a length ball outside off and Pant thrashes that one back past the bowler for four. The batsman threw everything at it.

DC 96/6 after 15 overs

DC need an improbable 124 runs off the last five overs. However, it’s a good opportunity for Pant to play without pressure and get some runs in his kitty. He has blown hot and cold this season thus far and needs a substantial knock under his belt.

Finally, something to cheer for DC fans as Pant gets a boundary. He guides this ball that was outside off and just short of good length towards third man for four.

Natarajan gets his yorkers going – DC 87/6 in 14 overs

Natarajan, the SRH death-overs specialist, has got his yorkers right against Pant. All the left-hander can do here is bunt it back to the bowler.

DC are looking helpless here, they need 133 runs from 36 balls.

WICKET! Axar c (sub) Garg b Rashid 1 (4) – SRH 83/6

Rashid strikes again. Axar is out. DC are in tatters.

Axar tries to slog this one over mid-wicket but fails to clear the man in the deep. Garg takes a simple catch.

Rashid finishes with figures of 3-0-7-4. Outstanding.

Vijay Shankar is off the park – DC 82/5 after 12 overs

There is some injury trouble for SRH. Vijay Shankar looked in some discomfort after bowling the fifth ball of the 12th over and he has walked off the ground. He seems to have hurt his hamstring.

David Warner completes Shankar’s over.

WICKET! Iyer c Williamson b V Shankar 7 (12) – DC 79/5

DC sink further and further. They have lost their captain now and half their side.

This was a slower one wide outside off stump and Iyer threw his bat at it, trying to hit over the infield on the off side.

He only manages a top edge there and Williamson settles under the ball comfortably at extra cover.

Rashid’s figures 3-0-6-2

An economy rate of two runs per over in T20 cricket against the likes of Pant and Iyer is what makes Rashid so special.

The pressure of the run rate is mounting and we may have another wicket coming.

Halfway stage: DC 73/4 after 10 overs

Delhi find themselves in a pickle here. There aren’t many batsmen left in the dugout and they need 147 runs off the last 10 overs.

Pant hit a four off the last ball of the 10th over but that was his first four after having played 14 balls. He is on 15 off 15 and needs to do better.

Another excellent over by Rashid – DC 66/4 in 9 overs

Rashid gives away just two runs in his second over as DC reach 66 for 4 in 9 overs.

It’s the first time out of the inning and Delhi need to reassess their plans and come out with a strategy on how to approach this daunting target.

Rishabh Pant tries to counter-attack. He walks out of his crease and sweeps this length ball by T Natarajan for a six over square leg.

Pant and captain Shreyas Iyer are at the crease now and this is the pair that needs to do the bulk of the scoring for DC.

Rashid Khan, you genuis!

First Hetmyer and now Rahane. Rashid has dashed Delhi’s hopes yet again.

This was as dead as they come as Rahane has trapped with his front foot right in front of the middle stump. He was playing for the conventional leg break but got a straight ball that hit him in front of his wickets.

Rashid Khan arrives on the scene and gets a wicket on his first ball. Hetmyer makes room and tries to cut this one through the off side but gets no contact on the ball.

The ball hits the off stump before it thuds into the ‘keeper’s gloves.

DC have been dealt another big blow here.

Rahane is getting into his groove.

Holder goes short again but he doesn’t quite have the pace to trouble the batsman. Rahane thumps this ball for a 94-metre six over mid-wicket.

A leg bye for four off the last ball means DC finish the Powerplay at 54 for 2.

Hetmyer has decided to target Holder. The bowler goes short and gets hammered over mid-wicket for another four.

Hetmyer is making the most of the last over of Powerplay.

Hetmyer throws his bat at this one as the ball was bowled wide of off stump and managed to beat the fielder at point for four.

Sandeep pitches it up and wide of off stump, giving Hetmyer the room he needed to smash it through mid-off for four.

Rahane makes room for himself by moving away from his stumps and hits this knuckle ball from Sandeep in the gap between point and cover for four.

DC need more of these.

Great start with the ball for SRH

Only six runs come in the fourth over, which included streaky boundary for Rahane off the outside edge of the bat.

Yet, SRH have only 24 runs on the board after four overs and they have lost two wickets.

WICKET! Stoinis c Warner b Nadeem 5 (6) – DC 14/2 in 2 overs

Nadeem finishes the over well after that first-ball four. He gets Stoinis caught on the last ball of the over to put SRH on top.

Stoinis makes room and tries to hit it over the infield on the off-side. However, he manges it hit it flat and straight to Warner at mid-off.

Shahbaz Nadeem shares the new ball and floats a wide half-volley first up. Rahane cuts that through point for four. Rahane needs some runs here. He hasn’t fired in the limited opportunities he has been given so far.

First-ball four for Stonis. He seems to have arrived with a purpose. A good-length ball is spanked over mid-on for DC’s first boundary.

DC are 6/1 after the first over. 

WICKET! Dhawan c Warner b Sandeep 0 (1)

Big wicket! 

Dhawan is out for a duck, and Sandeep Sharma has given SRH the wicket they need at the start of the inning.

This ball was pitched up and it swung back in to Dhawan, who looked to play it towards the leg side but got a leading edge on the ball.

Warner takes an easy catch at mid-off and DC have lost their best batsman in IPL.

We’re ready for Delhi’s reply

Shikhar Dhawan and Ajinkya Rahane will open the batting for DC.

Sandeep Sharma will bowl the first over for SRH.

SRH 219/2 in 20 overs

Rabada bowls a good final over. He gives away just seven runs from the final over as SRH finish on 219/2 in their 20 overs.

This is a huge total and DC will have to bat really well to chase this down against a good SRH attack.

Nortje bowls an off-cutter outside off stump and Manish throws the kitchen sink at it. However, he only manages it get an outside edge on the ball that takes it over the head of Ashwin at short third man for four.

There are 15 balls left in the inning here and SRH already have 200 runs on the board. There are eight wickets in hand andso fireworks can be expected in the last two overs.

SRH 202/2 afeter 18 overs. Just six runs come in the 18th, but that’s hardly a solace for DC.

This ball was hit with fierce power, and this time over the infield for a six.

Manish has raced away to 31 off 20 balls and SRH are 196/2 in 17 overs.
