He scooted away from his rivals when winning by nearly four lengths at York last time. This opposition looks no stronger and he races off the same mark as the victory came in an apprentices’ contest.
NOYA (7.50 Yarmouth, nb)
She went close in decent company at Newbury last time for the in-form Charlton team. Harry Davies takes off a useful 5lb here and she can strike.
STAR OF ST LOUIS (6.50 Yarmouth, treble)
He enjoyed dropping to this trip when scoring here last time. This looks an even weaker race than that lowly handicap and he can follow up.

Templegate’s race of the day
IT’S Richard the first in Catterick’s 2.55.
MASTER RICHARD took a big step forward when scoring easily at York last time and can strike again off the same mark.
Gometra Ginty likes it here while Abduction has been knocking on the door and looks a threat.
CISCO DISCO 1
DISCO diva. Has been struggling for a while and was well beaten again at York last time. Has had a little nudge down the weights and likes this trip but hard to fancy in current form.
MUNTADAB 3
DAB hand. Won this race 12 months ago but has been in shocking form this season including at Musselburgh latest. His best efforts have come over this trip and he likes the track but has a few questions to answer.
GOMETRA GINTY 4
GO for it. Landed gutsy win at Carlisle before another solid effort at Musselburgh latest. Has scored over this course and distance and is weighted to go close again.
MANIGORDO 3
MIDDLE Man. Hasn’t won for a while but has been knocking on the door including at Musselburgh latest. He had some traffic problems there and is 6lb below his last winning mark now so has solid each-way claims.
ABDUCTION 4
AB fab. Has been running better than fifth place suggests at Carlisle and Doncaster on his past two runs. He’s back of the same mark and likes this trip so looks in the mix.
LANGHOLM 3
LANG shot. Was a convincing winner here two runs ago before a solid run at Thirsk. He saves his best for this distance and his course record gives him a chance, although all his wins have been at Class 6 level.
MASTER RICHARD 4
RICH pickings. Improved effort when winning comfortably at York last time although that was over a mile. That was an apprentices’ race so he’s back off the same mark and his front-running style should be suited to this track.
REDROSEZORRO 2
IN the Red. Almost two years since his last win and his best efforts have come in testing ground. This track suits but he needs a bit more in this company.
