Alongside Tuchel, numerous England fans have been sharing their thoughts on Jude Bellingham.
His talent is undeniable, that is clear, but Morgan Rogers is off the back of an incredible season.
With all of that in mind, we asked the writers at Express Sport to share their opinions.
Matty Hewitt said: “For me, Bellingham has to get the nod given his contributions in an England shirt to date.
“However, I think Tuchel will rotate in the group stages, given there’s also now an extra knockout game, and Rogers will certainly be given a chance to impress. It’s a close call given Bellingham’s injury struggles, but on his day, the Real Madrid man is on another level.
Kieran Horn said: “Bellingham is a star but form is vital in tournaments and that is why I give the nod to Morgan Rogers.
“The heat will give both opportunities to impress but the Aston Villa star has proven his durability and that should give him the edge.
Against a team like Croatia, there should be more space and that is where Rogers thrives. Bellingham is the type of player to show up when he is doubted and so starting him on the bench may benefit England in the knockout stages.”
Husmukh Kerai said: “Morgan Rogers is definitely a brilliant weapon and potential gamechanger for England on the evidence of his performances for Aston Villa this season, but to put him in the same category as Jude Bellingham is incredibly short-sighted.
“Bellingham has already proven himself at tournament level with England at Qatar 2022 and Euro 2024. He’s won England games by taking ties by the scruff of the neck.
“Rogers would only get in ahead of Bellingham if he was in the middle of a ridiculous run of form (something which he is entirely capable of) but as it stands, you cannot look beyond Bellingham.”
