Frankie Valli cancels all remaining 2026 concerts due to health concerns

Frankie Valli has cancelled the remainder of his concert dates for 2026 in order to “focus on my health”.

The 92-year-old musician, behind 1960s hits such as “Walk Like a Man” and “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You”, announced the news in a statement on social media in which he apologised to fans who had bought tickets.

“I’m so sorry to disappoint the folks who have purchased tickets to my shows,” he wrote. “But I have decided to take the rest of the year off from touring to focus on my health. I’m looking forward to getting healthy and seeing you all again soon. Thank you for all your good wishes.”

His longtime representative Victoria Varela told Variety that Valli’s decision to cancel rather than postpone was because the musician did not want those who had paid money to see him to have that sum held in limbo while he gets “his health in order”.

Varela told the outlet: “Promoters want to prolong things and not give people their money back, but he needs to not keep rescheduling these shows.

“He realised he needed to take a break and get his health in order, and that is the true issue – he wants to get better without prolonging, through the rescheduling process, the pain of people who’ve bought these tickets.”

Valli, who has continued to tour regularly with the Four Seasons, plans to devote the next six months to working on his health. He will consider a return to the stage in 2027, according to Varela.

The news does not come as an outright surprise given that his band had already postponed April shows to a time later in the summer.

Among the cancelled shows include dates in Scottsdale, Anaheim, Newark, and Detroit. His last performance took place at the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula on 22 February.

News of these cancellations comes weeks after police were called to the musician’s home after a 911 call reported a domestic dispute with his 38-year-old estranged son, Franecsco Valli Jr.

The Los Angeles Police Department rushed to Valli’s Los Angeles house after receiving a report that his son had allegedly violated his restraining order, LAPD told People.

Police said that by the time they arrived just moments after the call, Francesco had already fled. There was no evidence of a crime and no report was taken from the scene. No arrests were made.

“This is a private family matter, and it was resolved before the authorities arrived,” Frankie’s representatives said in a statement shared with The Independent.
