Sinner accused of using dirty tactics as Djokovic makes retirement decision

Jannik Sinner was accused of ‘gamesmanship’ during his semi-final victory over Felix Auger-Aliassime.

The Italian stormed to a 6-1 first set victory but dropped the second set 6-3.

Sinner then took an injury timeout – and fans smelt something fishy.

“Yup, tried to slow Felix’s momentum,” one viewer tweeted.

“Clear as day gamesmanship… clearly threatened,” another viewer commented.

“Just completely kills the momentum for Felix,” a third viewer remarked.

“And now Sinner is flying around the court,” a fourth viewer noted, referring to Sinner’s comeback in the third set.
