Jadon Sancho ‘makes drastic Man Utd transfer decision’ as Roma learn verdict

Jadon Sancho is so keen to leave Manchester United for Roma this summer that he is ready to halve his salary demands, according to reports. The 25-year-old winger is the subject of a season-long loan offer from Roma, which would include an obligation to buy for £20million next summer.

Sancho remains exiled from Ruben Amorim’s squad despite links to Juventus, Borussia Dortmund and Besiktas in recent months, but an exit could now be on the horizon. While there was early scepticism about whether the £73m flop would welcome Roma’s interest due to his eye-watering salary at Old Trafford, he is reportedly receptive to the move.

According to Corriere dello Sport, Sancho has given the Serie A giants his total approval after sporting director Frederic Massara made a play.

It’s claimed that the England international is so keen to join Roma that he has told intermediaries that he is willing to slash his desired wage.

Therefore, Roma are said to be considering a contract offer between £4.3m to £5.1m per year, plus bonuses, in the coming days.

The Giallorossi are set to generate around £35m from the sale of Manu Kone to Inter Milan, which would free up the budget to accommodate Sancho’s arrival.
