The sound of wedding bells is currently being drowned out by the noise of paparazzi and chauffeured cars pulling up outside Madison Square Garden, as celebrations are in full swing for the marriage of popstar Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
Around 3.30 p.m. Friday, a convoy of countless blacked-out SUVs filed through Midtown’s closed-off West 33rd Street, carrying the hundreds of star-studded attendees. Those spotted include Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Camila Cabello, Hugh Grant, Dakota Johnson and Ed Sheeran.
A cocktail hour was held after the arrivals, and the wedding itself is thought to be underway now inside the secretive venue. A reception is expected to conclude proceedings, with up to 1,000 guests anticipated to attend and dance the night away, celebrating Swift and Kelce’s “Love Story” until the early hours.
The New York Times reports that two sources have claimed that Swift will provide entertainment at her wedding reception, performing alongside two music legends: Stevie Nicks and Paul McCartney. Swift and Nicks performed together at the 2010 Grammy Awards, where they sang Swift’s “You Belong With Me” and Fleetwood Mac’s “Rhiannon.”
There has also been speculation that the couple may be “already married” after exchanging vows in front of what the publication calls a “tiny group of loved ones,” according to the New York Post.

It would hardly be a wedding without entertainment — and Swift is rumored to be providing it herself.
The New York Times reports that a man in a black uniform and wristband near Madison Square Garden, who appeared to be working the event, was overheard remarking that Swift would perform with two music legends on Friday: Stevie Nicks and Paul McCartney.
Another person told the publication that Swift and Nicks had participated in a sound check inside the Garden earlier on Friday.

Wedding attracts protesters along with fans — and all face punishing heatwave

Not everyone gathered outside Madison Square Garden today is a fan of Swift and Kelce.
One protester is holding up a sign calling Swift a “monster” and accusing her of a variety of offenses including “overtaking electricity during a deadly heatwave.”
That heatwave is a genuine danger for those who’ve chosen to station themselves outside the venue today. As the New York Post reported yesterday, there is no provision in the event plans to provide safety measures such as misting stations or water for fans gathered outside the venue.
