Guests are being driven into an arrivals area, which is covered by a white gazebo. They will then walk down a concealed entrance to get to the venue.

There has been speculation from some outlets that Swift and Kelce may already be married.

The New York Post reports that a source claimed that the couple are “already married” after exchanging vows in front of what the publication calls a “tiny group of loved ones.”

However, according to the Daily Mail the couple will in fact tie the knot this evening at the Infosys Theater, during what had previously been believed to be their rehearsal dinner.

New York is currently experiencing a 100F heatwave, and MSG is bringing in reinforcements for Swift’s wedding happening today and tomorrow.

Swift is believed to have arrived at MSG, as a swarm of blacked-out SUVs entered the venue’s underground entrance.

According to a schedule obtained by AP, the 100 guests for the special pre-party at Madison Square Garden will begin arriving from 5.30 p.m., before the celebrations begin an hour later.

Donna Kelce, the mother of the groom, was filmed by TMZ arriving in New York City ahead of the wedding celebrations beginning this afternoon.

The publication said that Kelce was driven straight to MSG after landing.

The couple donated $26 million to at least 20 charity organizations, including food banks, music education programs and children’s hospitals in the days before they are set to tie the knot, according to a representative.

Recipient charities include New York Cares, Nashville’s The Store and Rhode Island Community Food Bank, all in cities that mean something to the couple.

They also donated to After-School All-Stars in Kelce’s hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, Helping Harvest in Swift’s hometown of Reading, Pennsylvania, and Kansas City’s Children’s Mercy Hospital.

The list of recipients also includes national charities like Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, ASPCA, Feeding America and Grammy In The Schools.

While the number $26 million might seem random, fans of the Grammy-winning singer know that her favorite number is 13 — which doubles to equal 26.

Based on interviews with luxury event planning sources, Forbes estimates that everything from securing the iconic venue to elaborate florals and tight security will cost at least $20 million.

It had been reported that Swift’s team would be building a “castle” inside the New York arena, but People reports that won’t be happening.

A source told the publication that they have “carpets and canopies, and it looks like a place where you’d get married.”

“There’s a stage set up, but it’s special,” they said.

The Independent reporters spotted full-size trees being loaded into the venue Wednesday.

Black equipment boxes were also spotted, including one that was labeled “Garden Party” in purple. Another box read “Mirror Ball.”

The Associated Press has obtained a copy of a city permit that shows 100 guests will begin arriving at Madison Square Garden on Thursday for a “pre party celebration” at 6:30 p.m., which officials described as an intimate rehearsal dinner.

A full street closure will then go into effect near the Manhattan arena overnight as crews erect multiple entrance and drive through tents, according to the permit.

The “main event” will begin at 5 p.m. Friday, the permit shows, and can continue until 4 a.m. the next morning.

Swift and Kelce’s decision to marry at Madison Square Garden in New York City on one of the busiest weekends of the year has raised eyebrows from some. Streets around the venue are closed and a former city official estimated the wedding could cost New Yorkers millions in policing and cleanup expenses.

However, speaking to The Independent’s Music Editor Roisin O’Connor, Harvard Professor Stephanie Burt thinks it makes total sense. Burt made headlines in 2024 when she launched a seminar on Swift at Harvard. She published a book last year titled Taylor’s Version: The Poetic and Musical Genius of Taylor Swift.

“She’s marrying a guy who wants to go back to the NFL in September, which means he has to be in training in August… which means if she wants a honeymoon, she’s got a fairly short window to do a big wedding,” Professor Burt pointed out.

“I think she had to do it in early July. I also think she really likes [the holiday] 4 July – before the first Trump term, she threw annual July 4th parties at her place in Westerly!”

Burt admitted she was surprised to learn the wedding was being held at Madison Square Garden until she learned about “how good the facilities are at MSG for practical things like crowd control, tunnels, security, and getting people and things in and out of the building without getting mobbed by paparazzi and irrational fans”.

“Given the initial decision to do a big ceremony, MSG seems like a good choice,” she said. “Also a lot of her friends live in NYC: imagine the carbon footprint if 100 of her pals decided to fly to a remote location. I’m glad she’s not doing a destination wedding!”
