A committed Formula One fan who attended every single race in the 2025 season has revealed the Grand Prix with the best value for money. At the start of this year, Brandon Burgess set himself a challenge to watch all 24 races on a tight budget of £20,000. He ended up going over by less than £500 but managed to attend every Grand Prix while also working a full-time job.
Burgess completed the feat by making good use of his 28 days of annual leave from his job with a technology company in London. His epic journey took him across five continents and 21 countries, with some race weekends proving better than others. He documented his challenge on TikTok, where he is followed by nearly 75,000 people.
Reflecting on his achievement, Burgess shared an ‘end-of-season awards’ video where he picked winners in a number of categories. When it came to naming the Grand Prix with the best value for money, one stood head and shoulders above the rest.
He said: “Imola and Spa came out reasonably priced for European races but Budapest came out on top. I spent just under £400 to attend on the Saturday and Sunday.
“I flew on Saturday morning and then back on Sunday night so I only stayed one night in accommodation, but even if you stay longer, accommodation prices aren’t too bad and it is quite widely known that it’s the cheapest race to attend.”
Turning his attention to the race with the best atmosphere, Burgess showed no hesitation in naming the Italian Grand Prix as the one he enjoyed the most.
He was seated alongside thousands of Ferrari fans, who are collectively known as Tifosi, and got to witness a special moment at the historic Monza circuit.
“There are quite a few honourable mentions for this one, particularly across the European races,” said Burgess, “Weekends such as Zandvoort and Silverstone both spring to mind, but in my opinion, there is only one winner.
“Despite Ferrari’s awful year, Monza is definitely my favourite in terms of atmosphere. [Charles] Leclerc overtaking [Oscar} Piastri at Turn One was a genuine goosebump moment, even though it was only for P3 and he didn’t even hold onto it in the end.”
Naming the favourite city he stayed in, he said: “I’ve been very lucky to visit so many awesome places throughout this season, but one of my favourite cities and the winner for this year is Singapore.
“It’s hard to put my finger on something exact about Singapore but it’s just a lovely place to be. Vibrant, clean, safe and seeing the cars under the lights at night is an awesome experience.”
Burgess also revealed which Grand Prix had the best scenery, explaining: “I didn’t have to think too hard about this one because for me, Austria takes this one hands down.
“We stayed at an Airbnb in Mauterndorf which is just over an hour’s drive away and the scenery the whole route was just fantastic.
“That doesn’t stop once you arrive at the circuit, either. We walked up the hill, sat in general admission and you look over so much of the track as well as the mountains in the background.”
Just before completing his challenge, Burgess was presented with a one-of-a-kind season ticket for 2026 by F1 sponsors Heineken. His travel and accommodation costs are also included, meaning he won’t have to worry about spending a penny next year.
