Liam Lawson ‘destroyed’ by Helmut Marko as ‘false’ Lewis Hamilton claim disputed

Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur does not buy into claims that Lewis Hamilton is over the hill.

The 40-year-old is just beginning his journey with the Scuderia, which he hopes will bring him an eighth world title.

But some doubt whether Hamilton has enough left in the tank to overcome the sport’s young guns.

“To think that Hamilton is worn out, finished, is rude,” Vasseur told L’Equipe. “And what’s more, it’s false. Look at his last race last year: he started sixteenth and finished fourth, overtaking his team-mate.”
