Formula One will be welcoming a new team in 2026, the 11th to join the grid, and they are already looking at options to fill their two driver slots next year.

F1 and the FIA finally approved Cadillac’s application to join the pinnacle of motorsport after years of tough negotiations. Now, they are looking to bring in the best and brightest from F1’s pool of talent.

According to Sky Sports, the American outfit are looking to bring at least one US driver on board. And that could see Colton Herta, runner-up in last year’s Indycar championship, finally get his seat after missing out with AlphaTauri in 2022.

It’s also reported Valtteri Bottas is a target but is yet to hold talks, while they would be interested in bringing Sergio Perez back following his departure from Red Bull given his popularity in North America.

Other drivers in the running include ex-Sauber star Zhou Guanyu, Racing Bulls’ Yuki Tsunoda and IndyCar pair Pato O’Ward and Alex Palou.
