Scotrish fans are reeling today after watching their side get torn apart on the opening night at Euro 2024. Germany ran riot as goals from Florian Wirtz, Jamal Musiala, Kai Havertz, Niclas Fullkrug and Emre Can gave the hosts the perfect start, with Antonio Rudiger’s late own goal proving scant consolation for Steve Clarke’s side.
England’s injury fears have been eased after having a full compliment in training for their first match of the tournament against Serbia on Sunday evening. And Gareth Southgate will take the step of calling substitutes ‘finishers’ in the tournament, to underline the importance of the whole squad.
There are three more tournament games today. It’s Hungary v Switzerland (2pm) and Spain v Croatia (5pm), before champions Italy face Albania (8pm).
