Liverpool enter ‘bidding war’, Man Utd lose star, Chelsea agree striker fee

The opening of the summer transfer window for the Premier League and EFL is now just two days away, and clubs are already finalising deals.

Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool are all being linked with big money deals, as they bid to overhaul champions Man City next season. City themselves currently have an ongoing legal case against the Premier League, with the hearing – that began on Monday – expected to last a fortnight.

United have opted to keep faith in manager Erik ten Hag. After months of speculation, it was reported on Tuesday the Dutchman was to be offered a new deal ahead of the 2024/25 season, following a season review by Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

Transfer activity will be affected for a lot of clubs though due to England’s involvement in Euro 2024. The FA have ruled that players cannot be officially approached while on international duty in Germany.
