Arsenal could make two changes to starting XI for Bayern Munich showdown

At the back, David Raya remains the clear first choice between the sticks, while Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba are one of the most fearsome centre-back partnerships in all of Europe, never mind the Premier League.

Ben White is playing well at right-back and should keep his spot, even with Takehiro Tomiyasu breathing down his neck. Arteta’s second change from the Brighton game is likely to come on the left-hand side instead.

Oleksandr Zinchenko has slipped down the pecking order since falling victim to the trend of central defenders playing at full-back. Jakub Kiwior has been a regular starter since early February, and the Polish international should be fresh, fit and raring to go after watching the Gunners beat Brighton from the substitutes’ bench.

Arsenal’s predicted XI: Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Kiwior, Odegaard, Jorginho, Rice, Saka, Havertz, Martinelli
