Wales boss Warren Gatland met with Dragons coach Dai Flanagan and discussed comments that were deemed “inflammatory”.
Gatland said that an urgent reset of Welsh rugby was necessary, something that Ospreys boss Toby Booth was not too happy about.
But Gatland has since discussed the matter with Flanagan when the pair had lunch together.
“I’ve got a good relationship with Warren,” Flanagan said. “We had food together yesterday actually, and we talked through multiple things including his comments that made the press.
“Warren said certain things he didn’t think would get out of hand because Warren wants what’s best for rugby.
“I’m sure he’ll look back and think what probably has come off the back of it, and I know we have, it does drop a seed and build discussion points around our pathway, around our facilities, and it does make us think.”
