Ireland legend Ronan O’Gara has warned Jack Crowley that he must ‘walk before he can run’ as he steps in to replace legendary captain Johnny Sexton at No 10.
Munster star Crowley, 24, only has nine Ireland appearances under his belt.
“At the minute Jack needs to walk before he can run and I think the senior players have to understand that if you are playing test games at No 10, the hardest ones are your first five years in the saddle,” O’Gara explained.
“Then afterwards, the pictures become a lot easier for you to process and you trust your instincts and you can play a natural game.
“But it’s been very encouraging watching Jack’s graph grow, it has been very, very, very interesting to watch from a fan’s point of view.”
