The January transfer window swings open in three days and there are plenty of big talking points heading into the New Year. Tottenham are in desperate need of reinforcements at the back after an injury crisis in north London. Liverpool‘s Joe Gomez is among their long list of potential targets, which includes Jean-Clair Todibo of Nice, Lloyd Kelly of Bournemouth and Genoa’s Radu Dragusin as well.
Fierce rivals Arsenal are also on the lookout for a defender, ideally a versatile one. They have their eye on £68million-rated Bayern Munich centre-back Matthijs de Ligt but may have to wait until the summer to table a bid due to FFP issues.
Meanwhile, at Old Trafford, Mason Greenwood is attracting plenty of interest from top European clubs. AC Milan, Barcelona and Getafe, who he is currently on loan at, are keen on taking him on a permanent deal but it is Barcelona who lead the pack. Barca scouts have reportedly been scouting the Manchester United academy graduate for the last three games and intend to make their interest known.
