Max Verstappen breaches ‘agreement’ as worrying Lewis Hamilton sign spotted

Fernando Alonso joked that he would beat Max Verstappen in a DTM car after the Dutchman’s victory at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

The pair were discussing their plans for the coming weeks in an interview with Viaplay when Verstappen revealed that he would be skipping the post-season test, with Alonso suggesting that he could join him in testing GT3 cars.

“No, no, no,” said Verstappen when asked by Alonso if he would be taking part in the Abu Dhabi test on Tuesday, before adding: “I hope you have a great time in testing. I am testing in GT3 if you want, in Portimao.”

Alonso then confirmed that he is also planning to test GT3 cars in Aragon before Verstappen suggested meeting somewhere in between the two circuits.

“Maybe we can do something in the middle,” he said, before Alonso clapped back: “With the DTM car? Yes, then I can beat you there.”
