Arteta also credited his team for managing to win at the home of six-time Europa League winners Sevilla, despite ruing missed chances at 2-0 as his side clung on for victory towards the end of the game.
“Very happy to win here, not many teams have won here in the last 10 years in Europe and we’ve done it,” he added. “I really liked the team, especially in the first 60-65 minutes, because we play the game we wanted. After it went 2-0, we should have scored a third one and we had opportunities to score again.
“One corner, the first time they [Sevilla] have something, they score and from there, they have experienced, they have a lot of presence and as well a lot of belief they can get it in the game.”
Arsenal are top of Group B with six points, with Len’s 1-1 draw with PSV Eindhoven seeing them drop to second in the group standings.
