A remote control bus was supposed to drive the ball to the centre spot

FANS have been left in stitches after a remote control bus rammed into a referee.

As the players walked out onto the field ahead of Bohemian’s clash against St Patrick’s Athletic in the League of Ireland, the referee picked the ball up off its stand but then walked straight past the Bohs Bus.

The RC vehicle was supposed to drive the ball onto the pitch and appeared furious at the referee’s snub – and wanted revenge.

The Bohs Bus sped off and caught up to the referee before ramming him in the side of the leg.

The footage went viral online, with many fans sharing their hysterics.

One fan said: “Bohs Bus won’t be disrespected. Any wonder we picked up a red from the officials?

A second commented: “The absolute failure of the ref here ? egotistical maniac.”

A third wrote: “The lil nudge ??.”

A fourth added: “A huge call, but this might be the funniest thing to have happened in the a LOI.”

In footage of the moment, a man can be spotted in the background noticing the referee’s error.

He then grabs the controller off someone and sets the bus off in pursuit of the official.

While a fifth pointed out: “You can see the guy on the left of the screen grab point it out, then grab the remote controls.”

St Pat’s won the League of Ireland fixture 3-2 against the hosts.

The visitors led 3-1 at half time with a man advantage after Jordan Flores was sent off.

Dean Williams added a second for Bohemians in the second half but the league leaders could not find an equaliser.
