Ukrainian troops destroy and injure ‘almost 4,5000 Wagner fighter and Russian army’ in two weeks

The city of Bakhmut has been the centre of some of the most intense fighting since the war started on 24 February 2022.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that over the past two weeks that almost 4,500 Wagner mercenaries and Russian army troops have been killed and wounded.

Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Brigadier General Oleksiy Hromov said that every day they carry out around 40 to 50 assault attempts.

Leaked US Top Secret files have also revealed that Russia has suffered around 223,000 casualties, with 43,000 killed in action and around 180,000 troops having been wounded in the war.

The document also suggests that Ukraine have lost 17,500 and around 113.500 wounded in action.

In a briefing on Thursday Hromov said, “To date, Bakhmut direction remains the most difficult, where the enemy continues offensive actions in the central part of the town of Bakhmut, as well as in the direction of Bohdanivka and Ivankivske settlements in order to surround the city from the north and south.

“In order to strengthen the offensive potential, a part of the enemy’s forces and means has been moved to Bakhmut area from Avdiyivka direction.

“Every day in the area of Bakhmut, he carries out from 40 to 50 attempts of offensive assault actions, more than 500 attacks using the full range of available weapons.”

The General Staff, said that the military-political leadership of the Russian Federation do not pay any attention to their significant losses as more than 200,000 of their troops have either been killed or severely wounded in Ukraine.

Hromov added, “over the past two weeks in Bakhmut area, the enemy has lost almost 4,500 Wagner fighters and soldiers of the regular army of the Russian Federation killed and wounded.”

Some units within the Russian Army are massively refusing to participate in Putin’s war resulting in the “refuseniks” being brutally dealt with.
