Chelsea vs Tottenham LIVE: Latest updates from Premier League match

ANTONIO CONTE is facing one of the biggest tests of his managerial mettle at Spurs so far as he visits former club Chelsea, where he won the Premier League.

This is a fixture which Tottenham always tend to approach with a sense of trepidation, having won just once at Stamford Bridge since 1986.

And the habit of a lifetime doesn’t seem to be changing at the moment, as Kalidou Koulibaly has volleyed Chelsea in front.

Harry Kane could have drawn things level though, but pulled a shot wide when he was one-on-one with Edouard Mendy.

    Sterling finds Kante and keeps running, but the pass back from the Frenchman is just a little too heavy and Sterling doesn’t reach it.

    They are getting a bit more joy down the right hand side after the introduction of Richarlison, and they win a corner off of Marc Cucurella.

    Much has been made of the German’s consistency in a blue shirt, but he has been nothing short of excellent today, despite the lack of a goal.

    Thiago Silva then does really well to keep his composure and stop a Dejan Kulusevski counter attack.

    It is half-time here at Stamford Bridge, with the score at 1-0 to the Blues courtesy of a Kalidou Koulibaly volley from a corner, which was assisted by fellow new boy Marc Cucurella.

    Tottenham are fortunate to still be in this game, and will have to come into the second half rejuvenated in order to get the scoreline level.

    Thomas Tuchel on the other half, will be hoping for more of the same from his team, who dominated that half from start to finish.
