KATE Garraway’s Covid-haunted husband nearly died in hospital from sepsis, The Sun can reveal.
Devoted Kate said Derek Draper was left “fighting for his life again” in intensive care.
He recently developed sepsis after his kidneys stopped working properly.
Kate, 55, who plans to return to ITV’s Good Morning Britain today, posted online: “Derek’s health took an unexpected & frightening turn for the worse.
“Thanks to the extraordinary NHS teams & his own amazing life force & spirit Derek — please God — is back on the right side of it now.”
A pal confirmed Derek, 54, who fell ill three weeks ago, was out of intensive care and “battling on”.
