Top Dog rounded off last week in tremendous style when giving our ‘system’ a wonderful boost by winning the two miles ‘bumper’ around Newbury on Saturday at a lucrative 9/1!
Never doubt yourself in this tough game and provided rules are followed consistently, and with due purpose, success is invariably the result of a business-like approach; my faith in this betting phenomenon remains strong and the only method I’ve discovered which prevails in the long run.
Two unlucky defeats (Thursday/Friday) would have been enough to make most punters show a white flag but where serious betting is concerned I’ve long been the consummate professional because courage is the key-word and from years of experience in football, and of course in the betting jungle, mine is preference for fight, not flight!
Always remember, ‘fortune favours the brave’ and in the ‘Sport Of Kings’ negativity is the direct opposite to positivity!
Whereas in soccer our belief was always attack is the best form of defence, none of this passing sideways/backwards style, in racing my contention that front-running paid the wages has been evident since one adopted such tactics with my own horses; Top Dog never left the leader’s rump before striding on way out and staying on strongly.
It was most exciting, a glorious sight, just like the golden, olden days of Cragside and Lilac Star, two special sprinters which won seven races in my colours, making the running six times.
Given the ‘system’ involves twenty points, I started last week with a tenner, and after every winner a tenth of my stake is added to the next bet, it soon mounts up; for instance with two winners last week, the other at 4/1, the amount for the forthcoming bet will already be £25 and were it, for example, to be 10/1 again £50 would be the stake, and so on.
As a consequence, and the fact few would want or dare to take a successful run to the enth degree, it’s best to use this fantastic within sensible proportions and start again every month; reminder advice, just bet my selections, when odds of 3/1 or better are available, duly increase and get on with your life which will be enhanced considerably. I’ll do all the work. For what it’s worth all my bets are on Betfair betting exchange
On the back of ‘Super-Saturday’ this afternoon looks promising with three meetings, Catterick, Plumpton (jumps) and all-weather around Wolverhampton where twice-raced Show Lights, one of three Godolphin runners and mount of high-flying championship leader David Probert, is expected to recoup last time losses in the ten-runner Fillies’ Novice Stakes over ten furlongs of tapeta; what beats her will win and the same comment applies to Monaghan Boy at the North Yorkshire venue, in the ‘bumper!’
Selections, Plumpton, 1.45 Mark Of Gold; Catterick, 3.50 Monaghan Boy (e.w); Wolverhampton, 7.00 Show Lights (e.w).
