EVENT: Picnic in the Park

LOCATION: Saltash Road Recreational Ground, Callington
Callington Town Forum CIC, now under new directorship, are excited to bring their first community event to Callington in 6 years.
The event will bring the community of Callington back together again following the covid pandemic and will include a show from Billy Whizz and Miss Merlyn’s amazing puppets.
The event will be opened at 12:30pm by Callington’s Portreeve, Mike Tagg, who will be introduced by the Town Crier and Councillor Tony Steniford.
A number of Classic Cars will also be in attendance and the newly formed Callington Carriage Driving Club will be showcasing some of their carriages.
Visitors are invited to bring their own picnic, picnic blanket and suitable games to enjoy.
There will be music from the Town Band, and the Gospel Choir as well as a lucky dip, Messy Church craft activities, a performance from ‘Open The Book’ and circus skills. For those who are still hungry, there will be for sale hot Paella, tea, coffee and, hopefully, ice cream!
