Commenting on the Prime Minister’s announcement on loosening Covid restrictions on July 19, Plymouth Sutton and Devonport MP Luke Pollard said:
“We all want to see restrictions come to an end. But with cases going up so quickly high, and the threat of new variants, throwing off all protections at once is reckless.
“The government still needs to do better: we need better sick pay, better local contact tracing and better help for businesses to improve ventilation. And it’s common sense to keep masks for enclosed places and public transport.”
