Applications Adviser

We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for an Applications Adviser in the Careers Service Team at the University of Bath.

About the role:

You will support students and recent graduates of the University of Bath by providing appropriate, relevant and up-to-date information and feedback on job, internship and further study applications (CVs, application forms, covering letters and personal statements).

Some evening working (up to 7 pm) may be required up to one evening a week. You may also be required to contribute to occasional events taking place on Saturdays, for which TOIL will be given.

This role is offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) permanent basis.

About you:

Our ideal applicant will be able to:

  • Have at least first-degree level or equivalent
  • Have some employment experience in a related role such as recruitment, or careers/employability advice
  • Demonstrate knowledge of application processes for sectors of work or areas of further study likely to be of interest to University of Bath students and graduates would be an advantage
  • Deal with a variety of people and situations, and respond appropriately

About us:

The Careers Service at the University of Bath provides services to more than 16,000 current undergraduate and postgraduate students, Research Staff, and recent graduates. The Service’s professional team work with colleagues across the University to deliver high quality and professional careers support via bespoke activities within University Faculties and to individuals through centrally-provided services. In this role you will work closely with students and recent graduates to provide feedback and advice on their applications to internships, graduate positions and further study. There will be additional opportunities to contribute to the wider work of the Careers Service, for example by supporting marketing activities and attending events as required.
