Administrator – Enterprise and Innovation Programmes

This part-time (0.6-0.8 FTE) post is available immediately until 2 July 2023 to provide cover for maternity leave.

 Hybrid working pattern with a mixture of home and office based work.

There will be flexibility for the successful candidate to choose their hours in consultation with their Manager.

Summary of the role

We have an exciting opportunity for an Administrator to join the Enterprise and Innovation Programmes team, working in the University’s Innovation, Impact and Business (IIB) directorate, on the Streatham Campus. The University of Exeter has strong relationships with businesses and other non-academic partners, drives innovation and makes a big impact on society and the economy. IIB is the professional team that supports and drives this critical work.

The Enterprise and Innovation Programmes Administrator will deliver customer focussed, efficient and effective administrative and financial support to the Contract Research and Consultancy sub team. The team manages the setup, costing and contracting of a large portfolio of projects with external partners. You will also be expected to work closely with other colleagues across the University.

This post will also be responsible for supporting the delivery of the Knowledge Transfer Programme (KTP) portfolio of projects and the work of the Industrial Studentships Manager. Some of the main duties will include supporting post-award KTP project administration and finance, providing administrative support to the Industrial Studentship Manager, KTP Officer and KTP Manager, preparing papers for and taking notes at meetings and liaising with the academics and other professional services staff across the University.

We are looking for someone with excellent organisational, IT and communication skills who can work flexibly and proactively in a team to deliver multiple objectives and high service standards.
