UWE, Bristol’s Department of Architecture and the Built Environment is one of the leading providers of architecture and built environment education, research and knowledge exchange in the country. We are an accredited partner of the major professional bodies including RIBA, ARB, RICS, RTPI, CIOB, CIAT, CIH and CIBSE. We are engaged in Knowledge Exchange activities within the city, at The Bristol Architecture Centre based in the city-centre and through applied research. As a result, the Department performs exceptionally well in key performance indicators including the National Student Survey results (100% in some courses), employability (90% plus for many courses) and research (e.g. three major EPSRC grants recently secured).
The Department wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Product Design to help develop and contribute to teaching, research and knowledge exchange within the Department.
The principal requirement of the role will be:
- Contribute to the teaching of Product Design studio modules, Product Design projects and specialist Product Design subject modules.
- Act as a personal tutor where appropriate.
- Deliver face-to-face, online live and online pre-recorded lecturing and tutoring.
- Undertake any other duties, which fall within the remit of the post.
