Summary of the Role
We are looking for an experienced, self-motivated, logical, analytical and technically proficient individual to join the Corporate and Academic Systems team within Exeter IT, working primarily on our Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) Systems.
The successful candidate will be the IT lead for the implementation of the University’s Degree Apprenticeship Learner Management System, Tribal Maytas, and its support and development moving forward.
Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, configuration, documentation and support of our COTS systems, you will have experience of enterprise applications in a medium/large organisation, either hosted on premise or provided as Software as a Service (SAAS). The role will require you to work with the Design and Operations teams within Exeter IT, as well as with suppliers of our COTS systems.
With an understanding of the software development lifecycle, you must have a willingness to learn, be flexible and adaptable, and have the ability to work in a team environment. You should be passionate about new IT & Digital technologies as well as promoting and acting as an advocate for the IT operating model and IT & Digital strategies.
The role will involve establishing relationships so you must have the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of audiences. You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent industry experience.
Experience of the following would be desirable for this role:
– Tribal Maytas
– Implementation of a Learner Management System (or similar)
– Support of a Learner Management System (or similar)
– Relational databases/SQL knowledge
Experience of working with, or developing, Tribal SITS would be advantageous for this role.
