This full-time post is available from April 2021 on a fixed term basis for 12 months.
Summary of the role
Teaching Quality Assurance and Enhancement consists of Quality and Standards Team, Academic Development Team, Technology Enhanced Learning, Education Incubator and Programme Development. TQAE is part of the Education and Student Support directorate and delivers services across the University campuses.
The post holder will report to the Head of Teaching Quality Assurance and Enhancement.
The primary focus of this post is to provide leadership and management of the uninterrupted provision of high quality support and services associated with academic development and academic skills.
One of the main challenges of this role will be to lead in the activities required to deliver the targets of the Education Strategy and requires someone who can deliver change of academic staff’s hearts and minds through training, support and engagement. Being able to work effectively with a range of academics across different disciplines and to have the confidence of these academics is crucial.
The post-holder will have line management responsibility and will be responsible for leading continuous improvement process and delivering enhancements across the full gambit of functions within the field of responsibility. This role requires the holder to represent TQAE on a number of committees and subcommittees and to work collaboratively with College staff and others to ensure the best outcomes for the students and the University.
