Our culture of making, performing, and shaping cultures is at the heart of our learning, research and engagement. Our values speak of collaboration, connectedness and innovative practice, underpinned by a passion for our academic disciplines and extensive partnerships with industry, professions and communities.

We are committed to equality of opportunity for all staff and strive for our staff to be from diverse backgrounds.  We positively encourage applications from individuals within under-represented groups and welcome applications from individuals regardless of age, disability, sex, gender reassignment, sexual orientation, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief and marriage and civil partnerships.

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Admissions Officer to have oversight of all University student admissions and lead the Admissions team based within Registry, a central administrative department. The post holder will manage, develop and train the team, assuming full responsibility for the student application process in order to achieve our student recruitment targets. You will also have a key role in developing robust systems to support the admissions process using our management information system SITS. The post holder will be expected to monitor and report on sector developments in admissions policies to enable the University to anticipate change and plan our response.

You will be personable, a good communicator and team player; able to focus on the detail and support your team and academic staff to deliver their objectives. You will be expected to deliver Admissions talks to an audience of prospective applicants and their parents/carers at Open Days and similar events based at the AUB campus and online. At key times during the Admissions cycle there will be a requirement to work some Saturdays, for which time off in lieu will be given.

Registry is committed to providing a quality service to colleagues and students so you must enjoy working within a busy external facing department. A degree level qualification or equivalent experience is required. It is essential that candidates have considerable experience demonstrating practical and theoretical knowledge of admissions, combined with strong knowledge of the UCAS application process. You will be an excellent communicator with strong organisational skills and a flexible approach.

While Covid restrictions remain, your week will be split between working at home and on campus.
